Challenges

 

Here is a list of some of the on line challenges sites, or so called Photo Of The Day sites. Some are free while others require paid membership. Winning photos are usually displayed on the front page of the site, and on some sites qualify for Photo Of The Month challenge. Most of the prizes are honour and glory in the fact that your picture is being seen of hundreds, maybe thousands, of people. But some sites offer "real" prizes, mostly camera equipment or software.

    I encourage amateur photographers to submit to the challenges. It's educational, encouraging and a real treat if you win. I frequently submit to quite a few of the challenges listed and find it very inspiring.
